You may be wondering how you can possibly order custom furniture from a perfect stranger that may be hundreds or even thousands of miles away, and then hope to end up with what you were looking for. It’s quite easy – people do it all the time! We actually have professional cabinet and furniture makers on our staff who have spent years in the business and who can readily assist you in creating your dream table, set of chairs, mantle, or any other piece of handcrafted wood art you may be looking for. Whether you are a designer, architect, homeowner, or a collector, you’ve come to the right place for extraordinary fine furniture. All of our museum quality pieces are signed and dated by the artist, and your furniture will only become more valuable with time.
To begin with, our furniture makers are among the finest in the country. All of them have been juried for excellence and reliability and you won’t find another group of wood artists as highly skilled in one place anywhere else. Most of the individual wood furniture items on our site have been commissioned and are displayed and being used in homes throughout the country. These pieces can easily be duplicated or customized to suit your space and / or décor. Or we can start from the beginning and create something just for you with an entirely new design.
Let’s say you’ve looked everywhere for a new dining room table and you haven’t been able to find exactly the right piece. No problem – we can help you! We’ll begin by asking you a number of questions. Are you looking for something traditional or more contemporary? How many people do you want to seat at your table at any given time? Do you need it to be expandable? Do you prefer the color of the natural wood or are you drawn to the many stains that are available? Do you like inlays, highly figured veneer, or exotic wood? How do you plan to use your table? What kind of budget are you working with? Once we have all the information we need, we will put together a complete proposal that will include a time frame for delivery.
When our proposal has been accepted and a deposit made, depending on the extent of the custom features involved, we may send you drawings and finish samples for your approval prior to fabrication. We will remain in touch with you throughout the building process and may even send you “work in progress” photos so you can follow along! When your custom wood furniture is complete, we will ship it to you direct using the most efficient and reliable carrier available.
