This variation on the Switchback Bookcase design is meant to accent the strong lines of the design by carrying the lines through the piece with slat work construction that is tensioned with hardware. This whimsical design offers a solution to a bookcase that houses books of varying size without those annoying holes for adjustable shelving. The dovetail joinery on the cantilevered sides is both aesthetically appealing and incredibly strong. The seven degree slope of the shelves eliminates the need for bookends and makes this piece a true conversation piece. A little bit of directional lighting will create marvelous shadow lines around this piece. This bookcase is available in many different woods.
